Color Works Painting

Sadly I cannot recommend this company/painter. I dont like ever leaving a negative review for someone or their business but feel compelled to warn others.nnWe had our kitchen cabinets along with a fireplace mantle/cabinets painted for approx $6000+ in July of 2018.nnWe were assured a 3 year warranty. Almost immediately defects in the paint job started to show with chipping etc. but they started 'small' and we tried to not worry about 'small' imperfections.nnBut things only continued to get worse, with major signs of weak paint adhesion displaying across the kitchen and other painted surfaces. Please see photos and video attached to this review for examples.nnA simple fingernail would literally strip the paint right off. (see video)nnAfter approx 1.5 years it got so bad we couldn't be happy with it anymore so we contacted Brad at color works so he could come look at the paint and we could work towards resolving the issue together.nnWe never were able to get him to come inspect the work.nnImmediately excuses started flying, 'you used bad cleaning products, I cant come due to health issues, its because you installed new cabinet handles/pulls, etc etc.'nnWe were very patient and have waited 5 months (at the time of this writing) hoping to get someone to come and look at the paint quality and work towards a resolution together.nnWe were never able to get Brad or anyone from Colorworks to come and see the cabinets. We had professionals come and repaint the kitchen (at approx $6000 again) and they did an excellent job. You can immediately tell the difference in quality. Over 3 months in and none of the problems the colorworks job had during the same time duration. The professional painters also indicated that the excuses given by color works were bogus.nnThe last response we got from Brad at color works was that since we now have had professionals come and fix colorworks problem that they can longer inspect it. I informed them that I had the professional painters leave several cabinet fronts untouched so colorworks could still come and inspect their original job quality. We have not heard a word since.nnWe would have loved to been able to work out a reasonable solution (or better yet have the original job done correctly) but unfortunately Brad at Colorworks was unable to deliver either of these things.nnI am sure they are nice people but when spending a lot of money I would recommend hiring professionals and steering clear of Color works.
