I was in Augusta last Friday and I tried to visit the mosque for Friday prayer. Turns out the facility is closed because they opened a much larger masjid a few miles down the road. I spoke to the imam there and he said this building is no longer in use. The new islamic center is located atn465 old evans Rd, Martinez GA 30907.

Apologies in stead. This was not a welco.ing place at all. By no shape or form were the brothers here happy to see a stranger. I felt like an outsider. I spoke to at least two or three brothers and none returned a salutation. Two looked as if i was the thirsty guy asking for water but out of duty they had to at least acknowledge my presences. The third ignored me all together. It is not a welcoming place. It is great that i dont go to the mosque for the brothers. I will return if i am in the area. Not to be treated the same as i probably will but for the word of Allah.

Doors are locked with a combination lock. Need to leave a number to contact and ask for combination, if it is competely necessary to lock the place of worship.
