Walgreens

My wife was the ward clerk at an assisted living facility for some years, and many times Vivian personally bent over backwards to make sure the meds that were needed, even at the last minute, got there for elderly residents. My wife has nothing but praise for this kind and hard working individual. As a full-blown workaholic, I know plenty about high energy and industrious behavior, and having often observed Vivian in action at Walgreen's, I am justified in awarding her a gold medal from the Workaholic Olympics. Also, during my life I have had countless shots for all the usual stuff, and Vivian is the one among all the people who administered shots that has waited for the alcohol to dry before giving the shot. This much reduces and usually eliminates the pain when the needle goes in. That alone makes her a pharmacy star. In addition to Vivian, I have found all the pharmacy staff to be hard working (actually way over-worked), and generally courteous, especially given the circumstances.

Although I have had problems with Walgreens in Chicago, here they are excellent. Vivian is superb and the young guys who work in the pharmacy are kind and helpful.

If I could give you a zero star review I would. Not a single person at this pharmacy is competent enough to be in a pharmacy! Not once, not twice, NOT three times was I disappointed by this pharmacy, I’m past the fourth time of them pissing me off beyond belief. Called them yesterday and was told my meds were approved and would be ready for pick up yesterday. They’re system went down and they couldn’t ring me up, but again said I was approved. Come to pick it up this morning, at 9:30 (open at 9) and they were CLOSED!!! Again, frustrated. Come this afternoon and they tell me it’s not approved and I have to contact doctor and medical insurer. SERIOUSLY?!? Can you get it together and stop wasting peoples time?! HORRIBLE SERVICE!

I've always had good experiences when I go into the store, whether as a shopper or an applicant. Staff always check in to make sure we're not lost. Cashiers always chat with us like human beings. All in all good stuff.

Always had a good experience, and am well taken care of at the pharmacy.
