I'm 41, I've been eating here since moving to Wilmington,NC when I was 15. I odee love Chinese food, I'm something like a Chinese food connoisseur,nI KNOW good Chinese food and Mr. Chan had the best Chinese food in Wilmington. With that being said, I JUST ordered and its like night and day from how it used to be, not sure if Mr. &Mrs. Chan sold their business or what but it was absolutely HORRIBLE. I ordered a LG pepper steak with fried rice. The sauce was thin and watery not seasoned like normally. Its like somebody chopped up 3 onions , 1/2 a bell pepper, and put in 5 small pieces of steak (which are at the bottom under allllllllll of the onions). The fried rice is just really oily yellow rice, no onions (probably used all in the pepper steakud83eudd74) peas,carrots etc. Just plain greasy yellow rice. Can't believe I paid $11 for this, NEVER AGAIN, I could cry right nowud83eudd7a
The food is almost always delicious but the customer service is a little sketchy. Myself and 2 other patrons stood outside for about 15 minutes in the cold rain before an 1 out of the 4 employees asked if we had placed orders. The worst part was that ALL OF OUR FOOD WAS READY WHEN WE GOT THERE.
My husband orders from here normally but tonight I was disgusted with the customer service...we ordered 4 plates and 2 of them were completely unsatisfyingnI ordered a shrimp lo mein with chicken wings and my food was disgusting the chicken tasted old and the lo mein was unseasoned. Then once I asked for a refund the manager decided he was gonna tell me of. Explained that the grease for the chicken only gets changed every three days I will never ordered from here again
Ordered online, sent my husband to pick it up. They tried demanding another $12.53 Saying the order wasn’t paid. I paid over $19 with google pay on their app. The workers screamed at each other and handed over the food. Soggy, mediocre Chinese food. Absolutely will never be back.
Protein and Seafood tasted like bleach. Be careful
