If you're looking for a place with friendly faces and spectacular views this is it! We found it online, decided to make a last minute 3 day trip the first week of October, not knowing what it was all about and we did not regret it! We will be back!! Beautiful area, clean facilities and grounds, HOT SHOWERS, nice and helpful staff and spectacular views from almost the entire campground! If you go be sure to catch the sunset at sunset rock!

So far we have stayed here twice. We typically primitive/dispersed camp but have heard great things about Mile High so we set some reservations. Unfortunately the first stay, it was a torrential downpour and decided to leave after one night since camping in the rain with a 16month old child is no fun. This past weekend we stayed for our second visit and it was beautiful, the grounds are clean, people are friendly and it’s super quiet at night... could hear the Elk far off! 5 stars and will return!

Beautiful view @ the top of the mountain. Camp sites look nice. BUT, stay away from the cabins! Little more than shacks, that are rodent-infested. I listened to mice/rats all night scurrying around and in the walls. Rat poop on everything. They even managed to get into our closed/locked 2020 Ram pickup overnight. We had droppings on the truck seats in the morning.nnWhy the management would not rectify an obvious bad condition is beyond understanding.nnThe two stars are for the location and view!

My family and I had an incredible 3 night stay. The views are spectacular! And the star gazing is out of this world. We saw several elk too! The host and staff were very accommodating and friendly. My girls loved catching snails, salamanders, butterflies, and lightning bugs.
