My family came to from out of town bury our Abu. There were some sisters who came and offered their condolences and welcomed us.nMost of whom knew both Umi and Abu for years. There was a group of other sisters that treated us nasty and disrespectful. This is not some where we would go to visit again. Despite the negativity, we prevailed because that is how our Abu raised us. Those sisters, one in particular should be ashamed of themselves The sister who received the condolences was not raised by our Abu. It was the sisters who were with her that acted unislamic towards us. The sister also tormented my family prior to his transition. She did not ask if we needed anything or helped us with anything. May Allah forgive everyone for their shortcomings.
Mashallah decent place to worship. Brothers seem pretty friendly met a guy named Yusuf drives a mercedes, May Allah set reward Him ameen.
Al hamdulillah the Sunnah of Allah's messenger is established
The only masjid in Durham that is upon true Quran and sunnah. I love this masjid! The lectures and classes are so beneficial alhamdulillah. The community is warm and accepting. I would recommend this masjid for any Muslim in the triangle area looking for a good community.
Love the community here. They are very welcoming to new comers. A big difference from my experiences up north. May Allah continue to aid and grow this community. Ameen.
