Abby has been cutting my hair since I moved to Durham four years ago. She is the best hairstylist I've ever had. She really listens to what I want, and takes feedback really well, and she knows hair well. I have an angled bob, with hair that can be a little difficult to style, and we've worked together to create the perfect haircut that works really well for my hair texture and preferences, tweaking it a little every time until we landed on the perfect cut. She is never pushy, and really listens. I also appreciate not only how covid cautious she is, but how transparent she is in communicating with her clients about her precautions and expectations.

So glad I met Abby. I am so happy with how she gets my hair. I love balayage and how it just brightens up my hair. As I’m trying to grow out a pixie cut she is making the transition quite easy. Abby keeps a very clean, safe and happy studio.

Abby has been my hair stylist for over four years now. Impeccable color (especially her balayage), fantastic cuts that look great for months, and always great conversations. If you’re hoping for killer hair at seriously reasonable prices, look no further. I’d honestly trust her with my life. Plus her solo studio is perfect for covid times - it’s just you, her, and your new fabulous hair.

I feel super fortunate to have found Abby at Contrast Studios! I’m one of those people who bounced around to different hair stylists for YEARS but when I received a cut from Abby, I never looked back. Not only is Abby extremely talented but somehow even better company. Over the years she’s give me a variety of cuts, balayage, and when I got married you know I didn’t think twice before asking her to do hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party. I always leave an appointment feeling awesome inside and out.

Abby did a great job with my hair! She's super nice and her space is very warm and welcoming. I wasn't feeling myself pre-hair cut, but I was definitely feeling myself after!!
