My experience at checkout was pleasant enough but this location is incredibly small. Very limited selection across the board on products. They barely had the Advil I needed.

this place is absolutely disgusting! the manager is rude! they absolutely get no business what so ever!! the prices are absolutely ridiculously high, the workers are never helpful! i will never come back!! please please don’t waste your time coming to this awful environment!

They had the best pharmacy in Black Mountain until about a week ago. Now it's easily the worst. There's a new pharmacist every other day so none of them can follow through.

One star only because I am not allowed to give Walgreens zero stars. The local pharmacy in Old Fort sold out to Walgreens and all records were transferred to the Black Mountain store. I always form my own opinions of retail locations due to the fact that there can be circumstances beyond a store's control, so after checking prices on a medication that needed to be refilled and finding that they were the most reasonable I requested that they fill my prescription. Request was on Monday and said prescription was promised after 1 pm; it was not convient for me to go on Monday so I was in the store at 11 on Tuesday. I was in line behind a lady trying to get medication for her husband who looked very ill, the clerk was not nice and informed her that she should just have a seat until they called her....hummm... meanwhile someone else comes down to ask me what I need.... I am told that they didn't have enough medication to fill my perscription but I can come back in 15 minutes and perhaps it will be ready. My phone number was in the record but I did not receive a call to let me know that the order would not be completed. I returned to the pharmacy an hour later again behind a customer having an issue with a perscription and after being completely ignored for close to 5 minutes a clerk brought down my medication. The price when rung up was $30 higher than the price that was quoted to me on Monday. Of course there was no reason given as well as no apologies for the higher cost. There is absolutely NO customer service or friendly contact in this store. I now understand the negative reviews and can only recommend that you shouldn't waste your time or money there. I do not plan to return!nn02-15-2019 updatenI needed a perscription filled on 2-11-2019 and after having been so disappointed with Walgreens decided to try McDowell family pharmacy, hwy 70 west in Marion. Not only was the perscription filled in a timelynmanner they were extremely courteous and helpful during pick up. Later that day I received a courtesy call from the pharmacist thanking me for my business. Walgreens, you need to seriously wake up! There are businesses out there who still offer customer service and who care. Just because you purchased customer information doesn't mean that you can be rude, uncaring and expect to keep the customer coming to your door. Wake up and treat people with respect!
