Asheville East KOA Holiday

A fantastic winter retreat! The River RV site is a must! The staff was welcoming and informing. Very clean and well kept. The camp store is well stocked with necessities and extra. The site has a lot to offer for kids enjoyment. The bath house was near us, and always clean and warm! I also used the laundry room to clean some dishes when we decided to shut off water due to cold temperatures (playing it super safe as it was our first winter retreat). Near the charming and quaint downtown of black mountain with lots of shops and eateries. Easy drives to Asheville, Chimney Rock and Blue Ridge Parkway!

I highly recommend Asheville East, such a wonderful KOA, great staff, great facilities. Staying for a week may stay for another if site available. Wonderful location. Only issue is when it rains it is super wet. Be prepared for met feet. And your right across from the train so if you don't like trains/noise be prepared. But I can't brag enough about this KOA, I had to back in by myself (dad was at work) and I've only had my camper for bout 6 months and this is my 3 campground stay. The gentleman who shows you your spot and helps you back in was amazing. Took his time and assisted me and was SUPER patient wirh me. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. Great family campground.

Terrific KOA campground. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rest rooms were clean. The kids had fun playing on the banks of the small river. Definitely recommend.

Great campground for families. My kids love both the parks and the games areas. Camper spots are well sized, recommend getting a spot on the river in the A section if you can.

Update......A year and a half later I have to give them a 3 for a rude office staffer and most of their grounds workers and overcrowded park....whoa this is a beautiful park that we love coming to but the cars speeding and off leash dogs were ignored by staff, and the rudeness of the office worker was surprising....other staff ignored you. We hope when we return it will be like before..... Very nice campground with dog park and friendly desk staff. Close to Ashville and Black Mountain. We will stay there again.
