This school was much better when my 12 year old attended. Not only does it seem extremely overcrowded, I have come across in this school alone the most insensitive staff who seem to be desensitized to the fact that they are working with children. I have shoes older than these children and the way I have seen some of the teachers speak to and handle them is awful. Not only that, if you are a concerned parent, they seem to take that as a threat and do everything to keep you at a distance. I've been treated very standoffish when it came to important issues with my child and it was only when I went over their heads is when I got results. When you start asking questions and showing up, this obviously makes them uncomfortable. They seem to forget that these children are not their property and they do not own them. I even had a teacher slam my car door in the car rider line because I preferred to actually make it to the actual walk way before I let my 5 year old out of my vehicle. This is not all the staff but I have had enough experiences with several of them for it to make an impact. I love my child's actual teacher but we don't have enough good teachers like her in the school system, or at least at this school
We have had a great experience at ASE and will be sad to move on. Thank you ASE staff for all you do.
