My daughter has private sessions with Melissa and it is often the highlight of her day/week. Melissa has a unique ability to funnel emotions into movement and activities to help my daughter feel more calm, make sense of chaos around her, and create new strategies to help her navigate life. My daughter started with yoga classes and transitioned to private sessions due to COVID restrictions. I am so thankful she is able to stay connected with Melissa and benefit from her positive energy and gift. I often say that Melissa and Grace are magic.
What an incredible place to engage your kids in self awareness and mindfulness. Melissa and Grace have such a unique way of teaching and are the most respectful no matter what the kids background situation is. The kids truly adore them.
My nieces LOVE going to the Yama Yoginis class on Monday nights with Melissa. Not only do they love seeing their friends in class, but they also love the activities and poses (which are called shapes in class). They even love teaching me their favorite shapes that they've learned and art that they've done for their mindfulness activities, pictured below. We now like to do those art and mindfulness activities at home together. I've noticed that they've learned different tools to use when feeling overwhelmed, angry, etc.Thank you, Melissa for giving them tools that will be beneficial to them as they grow older.
