It’s not perfect. It’s fun at times like some dances and some pep rally’s but we don’t have a lot of students not because people don’t have talent its because the people who are there are fake. Don’t get me wrong I love my school but most my friends are gonna leave for sports and if maca just had sports it would be a lot easier to keep students but yet again they can’t do that cause it “cuts in to our learning time” but that’s what ever now when the school only has 100 students in it that’s on them for not taking the kids advice. Btw if you have any problems I really hope you don’t expect to go to the principles about it cause they just say okay I’ll handle it and it never actually gets handled they just say don’t do it again or they suspended you for doing the smallest thing. But it’s teachers at maca are really great. My favorite is mrs. Carter tho. She’s the most amazing teacher and if you have a problem GO TO HER cause she will help you unlike some teachers. The lunch lady’s or the sweetest people you’ll ever meet at least the ones we had last year. And the janitors or probably some of my favorite people in the school if you honestly need anything go to them or mrs. Carter. Anyway if you want to come, come but be warned the kids here are really fake so if I where you I’d find a good group of friends and stick to them
Going to get clapped for this, but at this point, it’s hit or miss with me. Anywho, I absolutely loved this school when I first came here. It was fun! Sure, the school didn’t have any sports, but I forced myself to ignore that. There weren’t any restrictions on what you wore/what privileges were given to us. Everyone actually enjoyed themselves and whatnot. However, in my 8th/9th grade year, things changed QUICKLY. The common performances we would have were cut. We’re now reduced to like ... maybe three? That’s excluding the mandatory performances. Our breaks? Gone. Don’t know her. Everything FUN was just thrown out of the window due to the fact that we ... apparently didn’t get enough educational time? Man ... if only that was the last thing on this review. For our uniforms, we cannot wear necessities such as lanyards. Suggesting to leave them in the locker, or putting them in one’s pocket will result in that person forgetting it or losing it. The females aren’t allowed to carry anything bigger than a purse. Let’s agree to disagree here, but I feel as though we should at least have the privilege of carrying a drawstring bag since we aren’t allowed to have our backpacks, AND we have to carry our books in our hands. I hope you people know where I’m getting at when I say ... we don’t just have makeup in there, or anything else, but you do know that oh ... I don’t knowwwww ... Mother Nature kinda gave us this little thing? Where we kinda have to pack extra stuff to help block that? You gettin’ it now? Cool. So, that touches the top of the barrel! Let’s get to the innards! A majority of the teachers here are actually caring. Some people refuse to give them a chance, and some just have personal vendettas with them. Which is totally fine yknow? However, the minority are teachers who could care less about a student’s feelings. You can voice how you feel, but that won’t change a thing depending on how THEY choose to look at you. Again, it’s not all of the teachers, but do know that you’ll receive the bitter end of the stick if you don’t kiss up or shut up. It’s not tough love. It’s not respecting a student just like they ask for respect. That’s unfair. Onto the janitors now! They are pretty dang sweet! They’ll actually have a conversation with you if you’re up for it, and they will actually take time out of their schedule to help you if you ask. They’re never rude, they never have attitudes, etc. Honestly, they deserve more recognition in my opinion. I don’t really have anything to say about the lunch ladies honestly. I don’t hate them no worries. Now let’s move onto the bottom of the barrel! The head staff as I like to call it! The secretary is WONDERFUL. She is not only stylish, but she is also understanding, sweet, and she’s never rude. You can literally go to her with a problem and she’ll try her best to try you up. Whenever she’s in her office, she’ll definitely give you good assistance! Love her! The councilor is fine, but intimidating. I’ve been her to more than one, but every time I’ve gone in her office, my nerves would still be jolting, and my anxiety still would blast through the roof. The principal and assistant principal however ... I have a lot to say. Excluding the fact that they are bitter sometimes, they are quite rude to students who don’t fit their standards. Both can be extremely petty at times depending on the situation, and when someone has to go to one of their offices, there’s ever any true help or reassurance to the student(s) that are in there. They took the creativity out of this school, the personality, and definitely makes a lot of students either feel bad or hate them. I also dislike the idea of how apparently the females are wh*res or they’re showing off their body when they wear shirts that show their shoulders, or anything but pants/ripped jeans. That mindset still plagues this school and it’s ridiculous. Nobody is going to fall over someone just because their shoulders are exposed, get over yourself. I’m running out of room, but if I had more space, I would say everything I can. Experience? Gone.
Good school I love it
Its sucks, if your having problems aspect to figure them out by yourself
Man I Lov MACA and i go to MACA and Mrs Olivier you are the most inspirational principals
