The environment is pretty neat and well maintained. We had the smoked chicken and chicken and dumplings. It was very good! Their sides are also very good. My wife loved the squash casserole! Very good value for the price.
Amazing place for catering. I use them a lot for work and it’s always amazing. They also deliver and it’s always right on time. So many menu options and so far, everything has tasted great. I highly recommend them if you need a local caterer!
This place was amazing,we have travelled a lot and I have written many reviews but this one ranks right near the top, compare it to any fancy 'fallutin' place, but you won't get any better food selection or quality or excellent taste than the Oakwood cafe. We will make this trip from Chattanooga to Dalton as many times as we can in the future. PS. Our waitress was wonderful,
This place is overrated. It’s just another “home cookin” place that plates things straight out of a can. The chicken and waffles weren’t bad, but the brisket was dry and kind of tough. The vegetables were out of a can and Mac and cheese was basic. They don’t even serve real butter. What’s southern about vegetable oil “butter”. Nothing special about this place.
I saw the reviews so we decided to stop here. Am I glad we did. While it was a little crowded, the service was beyond top notch (thanks Kennedy). The food was fast and OMG delicious!! Will definitely be back.
