So far it's the best Chinese food in town. The only thing I don't really care for is the to-go containers. The old one ( white Styrofoam) was bigger and you got more food. The new containers are much nicer but smaller. The price is still the same but smaller portions. But the food is still great!

We used to go here all the time because it was fair and delicious.nNow it's more expensive and far less quality.nBrown, dry noodles and 8, dime-size shrimp on the side do not make Shrimp Lo Mein.nZero oil, NO vegetables or flavor is why I gave a poor rating.nBoth times I ate there in 2020 were disappointing.nPlease get the previous chef back.

I bought Chef Mings this past Wednesday and I have rationed it to last me until today.nn1. I FOUND A SMALL PEBBLE IN MY FOOD!!!!! This is why I did not write a review earlier. Like what is this?? I have been ordering from this place for months but now I’m hesitant.nn2. The portions are much smaller than before.

I visited Chef Ming’s around 5:30 on a Wednesday evening and there were just a few other patrons at the time. The restaurant is in a strip mall that’s part of a Kroger and close to the Home Depot on the west side of Athens. A couple of people were waiting for pick-up orders – I saw several people come in to pick up orders during my visit, making me think this place is popular for take-out. I didn’t see a host or hostess when I came in and no employees in sight, but a man finally came to the cashier’s location to take a take-out customer’s payment. When he was done taking their money, he asked if I was picking up and I explained I wanted to dine in. He seated me in a booth on the opposite side of the restaurant, but still in the front room. I looked around and saw the place has some oriental carvings in the dividers by the tables in the middle (see picture) as well as a tall carving used as part of the wall just inside the entrance.
