This just is the spot.
This park, honestly, has just about everything. From boat launches, to tennis / volley ball courts. Sandy beaches and beautiful green fields. Biking paths vs walking paths. Parking lots and bathrooms. They used to have drinking fountains but I feel like, post covid, those may no longer be a thing. Lots of giant trees (I've seen beavers and bald eagles here) You can also fish or kayak. Lots of picnic tables for those summer birthday parties that always seem to be happening. There's even informational panels along the trail and I've even picked black berries here, in the right season. Oh, and kids playground swings. What more could you ask for in park?
It's beautiful and so close to the river. The playground was fun for the kids. Grounds crew came around at least twice checking out things while driving their ATV. There was only one bathroom in our area. Parking was adequate but not too close to the picnic pavilion.
Beautiful, quiet, vacant. Admired many lovely homes, foggy view of the river. Restrooms were open. Great walk after dinner.
Clean. Pathway is smoothe and there is plenty of access to the water without having to go through brush and bushes. I even caught a nice bass right below the volleyball court.
