Friendly staff, love to check out clearance items, but just didn't find anything on this trip.

I bought a beautiful navy blue dress top i needed for a Church Conference i got so many people saying how nice it looked on me there's more i bought a Christmas red top i got the same thing from others saying how nice it was Cato they have never ever let me down Thank You Cato

My Mother and I have been shopping at this location since it has been open but after an experience we had a week ago and a experience my mother n law had 2weeks ago I will not be shopping here anymore although my Mom loves the selections. About a week ago my Mom and I went to Cato to make some purchases the Manager Pam was checking us out and they have a big plexiglass to separate them from the customers which is great but when I stepped to the counter to place our items on the counter Pam immediately told me she was gonna need me to step back to the X on the floor until she finished ringing us up . Once she finished ringing us up she then told me I could step back up to the counter and swipe my card so of course after I swiped my card and without being told I stepped back to the X on the floor because I felt as though I was irritated and if my Mom didn’t really want her items I would have simply walked out cause actually I had items to but I put my items back because I didn’t feel welcome at all like we use to be when shopping in this store I felt like Pam was irritated with taking care of the customers or somewhat paranoid ! I understand Covid 19 is real and serious but you still need to be friendly and mindful of your tone when speaking to the customers! I was speaking to my husband about this incident and he told me about an incident him and his Mother had with Pam as well where his Mother didn’t hear Pam when she said step back to the X on the floor and he said that Pam repeated it again with a more forceful tone saying “ I am gonna need you to step back to the X on the floor”!I don’t care what’s going on you have to be mindful of your tone when speaking to people!!!I don’t know what’s going on but customer service is not up to part!

This is a revised review from 3 months ago. As I waited for the cashier to finish with the customer that was in front of me and I do practice social distancing and I gave that person more than 6 feet. As I approached the counter to put my things to be rung up she told me the manager to stand all the way back on his X on the floor then I was granted permission to walk up to insert my payment into step back again. As I entered the building I was not greeted it and was told just in case I did not know they will be closing in 3 minutes. I only came in to look at Clarence earrings. I acknowledge what she said but sarcastically I said how are you doing since I was not greeted properly I guess it was my opportunity to greet her. I will no longer come to this store. In three months the service has not changed so I must.
