Good Day Cafe

Loved this cafe!! The food was delicious and served by a wonderful lady named Bobbie who was so friendly and a great server. The restaurant uses its old salvaged materials and artwork on the walls to make a beautiful decor. We ordered the shrimp basket with fries and a grilled cheese and French onion soup. Also enjoyed the amazing desserts. We really liked the town of Waynesboro and hope to go back someday.

We(my husband & I)went the other night for a quick dinner after he got off work & had great service & a delicious meal. We had the honor of meeting Kevin, the owner & had a blast chatting with him past closing. I enjoyed perfectly cooked medium rare beef medallions with the most amazing shitake mushroom sauce. My husband cleaned his plate of the tuna. Love the house dressing for salads. Great drinks. Love this gem in Waynesboro & love it right across from my husband's shop.lol very convenient. Sorry no photos this time. We ate it too fast

Super friendly staff, food as amazing. Potato was a smidge over salted, but the steak-stuff baked potato was incredible. Great find on a business trip!

I had dinner here for the first time, it was delicious. Liza did a great job, she was friendly and quick with everything. My family and I will definitely be back.

The Good Day Café is a restaurant I never paid much attention to, and typically favored the Burke Perk due to working there as a waitress. Burke Perk's menu was super long and had over 30 dishes on one side of the menu alone. The giant portion sizes they serve cause a lot of customers to ask for to go boxes.nnThis café was a refreshing change after quitting my job due to the new toxic management. The menu has significantly less items, making the process of ordering less chaotic and time consuming for both the waitress and the customer. I've also found that the dishes similar to the ones on Burke Perk's menu were lighter and less overwhelming for me to eat, as a person who doesn't enjoy the giant portion sizes that Burke Perk serves.nnThe café is beautifully decorated and features several photography prints on the walls, along with some tasteful decorations, something the Burke Perk does not have. The atmosphere is very welcoming and almost feels like home. The waitresses are kind to the customers and seemingly to each other.nnOur waitress was awesome, she was very considerate and quick to get our food to the table. We ordered the tonkatsu and a philly steak with fries. Both dishes were wonderful, and the tonkatsu was definitely a favorite. The portion sizes weren't overbearing, nor was the food too heavy. We finished off with a crème brûlée, which was the perfect amount of sweetness, and the strawberry was a very nice touch. Over all, this was a great lunch, and I can't recommend this place enough.
