Francesco's NY Pizzeria & Ristorante

Love this place. Smells great when you walk in. Prompt seating and drink order. Really enjoyed the bread with olive oil and Balsamic and herbs. Had a pepperoni and sausage pizza. Without a doubt, the best pizza we have had in Sarasota. Will be back to try other items on their menu.

Been going here for years the whole place has changed the waitress had no clue what she was doing. She copped an attitude when I told her we did not want to sit in the window. We had to ask for bread. Then for drinks and refills on our drinks.People who came in after us were served by the other waiter before we got our drinks. Talking a good 10 mins.... The pasta was limp and over cooked the portions have decreased by 1/3 the spaghetti was lost in the sauce! All sauce no pasta! The owner was in the kitchen area when I sent back my order of over cooked pasta he did not even come out to ask if they could do anything for us. There are to many good Italian restaurants here to waste money on this wannabee. This is a $22.00 meatball onion pizza we thought we would give it another try after 8 years.... Well no meat come on are you kidding a total of 14 slices of meat did not even have meatball on the whole pizza. I will never go back if this is NY pizza I would suggest you go home and learn how to make real NY PIZZA. Bought this last night January 15th 2021!

First and last time here. Pizza crust is tough, thick and dry and the sauce is too sweet. Not our style and doesn’t seem to be New York style. The service was good. If you are concerned about staff wearing masks do not go here. None of the kitchen staff had masks on and the servers only wore them periodically.

Staff was very kind. But to be honest being from NY this pizza would not have cut it in NY. The dough and crust was good. The sauce needs a bit of work and there was very little cheese on both of our pies. If they had doubled the cheese it would have been a normal amount of cheese . Also we ordered a Americano pie again skimpy on the cheese and the use of minced garlic instead of fresh garlic was it for me.

Ordered pizza to take out. It was ready on time and great. Parking wasn't bad tonight.
