Speaks Clam Bar - Italian & Seafood - St Armands

What a wonderful dining experience! Great vibe and we were lucky to be seated upstairs on outside deck with great views of Armand's Circle. Nice menu selection, especially when your craving seafood. Our dishes were excellent from presentation to taste. Macy, our server was super nice and attentive, as was the rest of the staff we encountered. Eric took great care of us, thank you Eric! Highly recommend you treat yourself to Speaks at St. Armand's Circle!

Front hostess was incredibly rude when we walked in. Immediately was told that we don’t have reservations and they were full for the night. The other hostess jumped in and said we could sit at the bar (4 seats open at that time). Also, the remainder of the dinner there were plenty of tables available (which may have been because people didn’t show up to their reservation). But the hostesses could have told us that we can wait to see if there were any no shows. At the end of the day we ended up at the bar.nnRegarding the food, the lobster bisque was good, but the “extra” lobster meat was not worth the $5 extra dollars they charge. The raw oysters were very good, but it would have been nice if the bar let us know that their was a special menu for the bar where we could have got 3 oysters for $6 instead of a half dozen for $17. Not a big deal, as they were very good. Great cocktail menu. Wife got the kombucha drink which she really liked.nnRating is based of the experience with the hostess, first impression is everything and my wife was very put off by her.

Hands down one of the beat restaurants for casual eating you can find in the area! The middle neck clam sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had. The cocktail menu is as creative as it gets and perfect for a day of relaxing with friends. The handmade pasta was perfectly cooked and went well with both the meat and seafood dishes. The serivce was great and the ambiance was suited perfectly for the casual yet sophisticated vibe. If you are looking for a restaurant that will exceed your expectations within a reasonable budget, you should make this place part of plans. You won’t be disappointed!

What a fun evening. Our clam chowder and pasta were delicious. The service could not have been better. Thank you Danielle, you were wonderful. We will definitely be seeing you again soon.

Such an awesome restaurant. The decor and theme was truly interesting, the service was very good. Vikki, our waitress, was very helpful and made good recommendations. We sat upstairs and outdoors to take in the view. Great food and nice price too. Thank you Speaks!!
