Nice little park with a kids play area and a couple of benches but no bathroom
Jay Perry Park is one of my favorite places because I have a garden bed in the community garden that's located there. I was fortunate enough to be able to help build the garden in 2013 and I've been growing there ever since. My bed is approx 3'x19', & I have had between 18 and 30 different crops every year. It is the highlight of my year. I hope everybody that's intrested will stop by and check us out. It's amazing what you can do when u get a few people and some master gardeners and some great city officials together. I know it's changed my life and made about a dozen grade school kids eager to garden when they get a little older. Several have filled out applications to join. I feel blessed that I'm part of this wonderful experiment,that's growing like wild fire.
This park is disgusting. I've taken my kids there twice, hoping it would be clean. The first time there was a bunch of trash all over. The second time someone had used a step on the jungle gym as a toilet. There was diarrhea. When we moved to the area, I had also contacted the person who is suppose to be in charge of the garden. I never heard back.
