Art and his team have created a culture of genuine care, authenticity, creativity and soul. From the moment you are greeted at the door until the end of class you see the dedication that is put into the running of the school. It is always kept neat and clean and there is no denying that Art has made this his life’s work. His instruction is truly one of kind. He teaches from the heart and a place of passion. His coaches are amazing, patient and knowledgeable. Also, students are warm and welcoming. Here you will find what the heart of Jiu Jitsu is all about: camaraderie and building life long friendships. The school is my home away from home and it’s truly an honor and privilege to be a part of.
My 11 year old daughter asked to switched from dance to a combat sport specifically to compete in grappling/wrestling. I was aware that AOW had a great reputation and we stopped in for a class. We arrived early and a student was having a birthday celebration before the days classes began. A parent and Coach Mason greeted us and my daughter was immediately recruited into the birthday party, cake included. We stayed for two classes both of which were very professional while also keeping the attention of the young students with a fun fast passed format. I spoke to my daughter and we agreed the search was over, that’s her gym now. The staff, students and parents have created an amazing environment to learn martial arts. I highly recommend this gym for anyone at any stage of their martial arts journey!
An excellent gym to train for both kids, and adults. Art, Amo, and the other instructors give 110% every class , and have an outstanding ability to balance both fun, and seriousness necessary to make sure the material is understood and can be applied. Would give 6 stars if possible.
We are so grateful to have found this gym! The coaches are amazing and my son felt welcome from day one. I love that he can go everyday during the week as well. Awesome place!!!
These guys are the best! My son has never been more excited to do anything in his life! This isn’t just about martial arts. I love that Jiu Jitsu is giving him a foundation of life long lessons built on respect, self discipline and humility that he can apply to all aspects of his life. Beautiful new gym makes for a great environment!
