One of most favorite wineries in VA, and absolutely worth 2 hr drive from DC! Amazing atmosphere, both inside and outside, gorgeous views and excellent wine! We came down for the Oyster Special weekend, and absolutely loved the Big Island Aquaculture oysters paired with VA white wines. Recommend for parties, getaways or big celebrations
Wines were all very good. Especially liked the cab franc and the eluvium. Our server Candy/Candice was great. The building, decor and overall set up was impressive. Food was fabulous.
Great place to have relaxing afternoon. They do have a great selection of wines and great food to pair it with. My only gripe is that they didn't have cushions for patio furniture out on the terrace.
Love this place! The baguette is great and the cheese board is perfect for sharing. I highly recommend the Eluvium. The foothills is a nice light red and the Shenandoah is excellent!
The stars given are for the decor only. The interior was absolutely beautiful, but other than the look of the place, I wasn't very impressed. When ordering the charcuterie board, I asked what it came with and they were very short with me and would not tell me which meats or cheese it came with. I ordered the mystery meats anyway and the amount given was very small and disappointing compared to other vineyards in the charlottesville area. Last, those sitting outside were not allowed to order flights which is what we had came for. Overall, wish I spent my weekend somewhere else.
