Brandon is amazing! If I wereee you I would ask for him. He very smart but explains things so well and really got a great result for me. I’m surprised that this is free. I felt like I had an A+ lawyer. No complaints

Michele Peters is very rude and has poor customer service skills. I was hung up on when I was trying to answer a question. She told me she couldn’t help me. I’ve been trying to get in contact with a supervisor there, and I’ve been given the runaround. If these people do not want to help those in need then they need to find another job. I will be contacting someone higher about this piss poor customer service experience with this office.

They are an excellent legal service for people that would be taking advantage of this day and time I appreciate their services and there help if I could I would give them a billion Stars

Great in helping with legal matters

Worst experience EVER they aren’t there to help you at ALL. The first time you disagree with what they say they will tell you quickly “we do not have to represent you”, or they will tell you about the grievance policy. Ashley Eick and Kate Skarvan are both liars!! They make decisions without your consent, then inform you after the fact. When you call them out about making decisions without your consent. They try to act as if you aren’t taking their legal advice. They will write letters to malign your character, so that they can file a motion to remove themselves from your case. They have lied to me on multiple occasions (I have receipts), and their executive Raymond Hartz will cover for them. A lawyer is suppose to provide a client with an informed understanding of their legal rights and obligations. They are supposed to explain if you do not understand their practical implications. A lawyer is supposed to zealously assert the clients position, and seek results advantageous to their clients position. According to the VIrginia Bar Association, a lawyer should be competent, prompt, and diligent. None of this applies to the staff attorneys at the Legal Aid Society of Eastern VA. If you’re a donor, donate your money to a more worthier cause. They aren’t there to help people of little means. If you’re on the board now’s a good time to evaluate some of the attorney’s you have on staff especially the executive director. I plan on filing a complaint with the bar association, and I will be reaching out to every member of the board to let them know how they treat clients there. If you have a court case pending you are better off representing yourself!! If the case isn’t easy and you aren’t paying they don’t give a damn. It’s a job for them I guess. You would think that they would care more about their clients. I’d liken my experience with them to that of Christian Cooper in Central Park and we all know how that turned out. I’m not playing the race card either. It’s a fact!! Remember I have receipts!! If I could give them no stars I would because your better off doing a gofundme page for your legal fees. Oh I forgot the most important part of it all. I was the petitioner they were working on a case that I had already won!! Says a lot huh... think twice before you seek legal advice from them.
