I went in hoping to get a map of the area. The young lady not only gave me a map of the Chesapeake area, but also showed me all the brochures and maps of other nearby areas and the state as well. Everything was arranged in an orderly manner so that it was easy to peruse and select what I needed. She encoraged me to take everything I thought I might want and it was all FREE. She also provided me with a bag so I wouldn't drop anything.
You’d expect the people who work here to know basic information about the city, like that it’s the 3rd largest city in VA. You may also think they would be friendly and helpful and willing to answer questions like, “where’s your downtown area?”. But... sadly, no.
