I’ve been a member at this location for over a year now and I have really enjoyed coming in whenever I can. I’m always greeted and feel comfortable around the staff and fellow gym members. The only complaint I would note is that when I went away to college, I asked to have my membership frozen for that timeframe but my membership fee continued to be charged in full. I understood that to change that I would likely need to come in to the location as per the agreement papers stated (if I’m remembering correctly) so I just let it slide because I was away at college and couldn’t stop by. However, that is why I’m giving this location 4 out of 5 stars. Other than that, I’ve had a great experience! This location is often crowd free and sanitized very well. The atmosphere is perfect for novice exercisers like myself.
Very clean! Practicing social distancing. No pressure or judgement. Very nice place!
Update 12-2020: I've had to revise my review downwards after policy changes and staff turnover at the gym. In Spring 2020, I placed my membership on indefinite freeze, and I was verbally told that it would not resume unless if I returned in person. This promise was broken, and my membership was automatically resumed by the gym without my permission, and I was hit with yearly fees and an increased monthly fee. I was misled, and I'm very disappointed in the gym. If you choose to join the gym, you'll have to keep a constant eye on fees and policy changes.
Covid has been tough on most people. I had not been to the Gym since February until November. I was blown away at how unclean the facility was and how the staff were not wearing mask and practicing safe habits. I called in November asking to have my membership suspended until after COVID. I was told they would charge $5 a month to continue it and when I was ready just let them know. They promised to give me 3 months credit. Needless to say, I was charged these past two months. I called in and literally had a kid laugh at me over the phone and told me if I wanted to cancel I would have to come in and cancel. During a middle of a pandemic, they refuse to cancel a membership over the phone. The ironic thing is had the staff been just the least bit professional, I'd still be a member. Will never recommend YouFit to anyone.
You fit Hull street is always clean and the employees are always friendly and helpful. I just wish that they would enforce the people that use the gym to wear a mask due to the pandemic.
