Stumbled upon this little spot within the Fort Meade Rec park. Parking and camping spot with a little creek - frozen when we visited. Great spot for hiking in woods or just walking in the open areas with your dog.nnParking lot, with restroom open during winter. There are tent camping spots, no utility hook up, except for the campground host. Research shows fees for tent camping from May 15 to Sept 30 and supposedly closed 3 weeks during Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. There is a water dispenser but may only be available during camping season.nnThere's a bicycle station to repair and air pump.nnLots of areas to pull over on the side in the rest of the park and dirt bike/quad/mountain bike and hike. Really nice area to drive and be quiet, yet very close to the main i90 hwy.
Campground Host was kind and informative. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Trail was also well maintained. Exceptionally beautiful area.
I go here all the time. I love it!
We love it here! For camping, hiking, or just a picnic and playing in the water!
The camp host is very nice! Quiet and peaceful! Only busy on the weekends!
