Caroline is an amazing hair dresser! Not sure that is what folks are called in this day abd age. She is a wonderful person as well, making the experience really relaxing and fun. I just did a big hair change and she got me through it and I'm really hapoy. Finally, she has a very clean and safe COVID process. Try her!

Most of my life I have had long hair and my hair cuts have consisted of taking 2 inches off the bottom and maybe some layers. I went to cheap places because for that, why not. Some years back I decided to try and go short. I was dumb and didn't go to a true salon. It was awful. Grew it out, tried again, with a more expensive place. Awful again, more expensive place but I guess not enough experience. Grew it out, few years went by, went again to a highly rated salon I'd been doing my trims at to build up a relationship. Still bad. Not a horribly bad cut, but now where NEAR what I asked for with pictures, so it was an in-between length I didn't want nor works with my hair (unless you are an amazing stylist at home, I am not. I 99% of my life haven't even used hair products and wouldn't know where to begin). I have some weird cowlicks and such, but I wasn't asking for anything crazy. I think some stylists just freak out if you show up with below shoulder hair and want it CHOPPED.nnSo then I found this place. SHE IS THE BEST!!!! It looks amazing without me doing much of anything. She listened to my history, she actually PLAYED with my hair to see how it behaved and we went for it. Best best best hair cut of my life. So long as I'm in Portland, this is where I'm coming.

April's a genius, creative hair stylist and colorist. I love coming here, not only because she makes my hair look good, but also because she's generous and on target when answering my style newbie questions, like what my best colors are to wear, and more.
