Sypes Canyon Trailhead

Not too short and not too long. A good weekend challenge. Good tree cover on the way up. Moderately challenging and tapered incline. View I'd very satisfying. If you have a few hours on the weekend and want to do some cardio, go for it.

Nice hike. Although the trail goes farther, it makes a great short out and back. The trail is steep in places, with a nice balance of gentle terrain. There is a good viewpoint early on before following the canyon floor, with an accent of the ridge thereafter. Although it is slick in places in the winter, it is well worth it.nnIf returning to Bozeman, I recommend the scenic Rolling Hills Drive. It is one of the first lefts as one leaves the trailhead, and turns into Story Mill Road which leads past Bridger Canyon Drive to Downtown.

Beautiful hike, great views from the top. It was ice today.

We went after a night snowfall and the views were breathtaking. A challenging hike for a novice hungry like me but it was quite enjoyable
