Forget the trailhead. This whole area is great in winter but mind the road conditions.
Hyalite ski trailhead was an amazing drive and hike. Although it being 14 degrees outside i knew to dress very warm. Seeing the river and the lake all frozen was an amazing experience. I was stopping every 20 feet to snap a photo of something beautiful and majestically breathtaking.if your planning on visitng hyalite trailhead than plan for lots of ice and lots of snow. And dress for the occasion. If you only have a 2 wheel drive than please do not risk driving up there or you will get stuck.

Enjoyed sledding with the kids.
Beautiful place right of of Bozeman my family and I loved. Not hard to get to and breath taking views. Can't wait to come back and make this a common place for our family!
