Easy to find but make sure you have a good 4-4 vehicle, especially if you want to visit the lake or hike Sac between the late fall and early summer. Tons of snow and mud! Beautiful hike and trail.
It a little rough getting up there but the lake is very nice! Also hiking up to the the ridge is amazing good view and good place to find goats.
Great trail, moderate to difficult. A lot of elevation gain at the halfway point. The views are totally worth it though. Don't forget your fishing pole! At the 3 ish mile marker you need to cross the river trail can be hard to distinguish. They is a couple logs to assist in crossing.
You will have to off road a few miles, or hike in. Once you make it to the lake you can fish, kayak, float. Bring the dogs and the kids. Camping ground up the road.
Such a beautiful place to camp and hike! We could have spent more time there, but the time we did was very enjoyable! The drive up was a little rough, but worth it. The kids made the hike to the saddle and waded in the beautiful fairy lake!
