Round Mountain BLM Rockhound Area

Great place for Fire Agates! Google maps has this location listed correctly 100% There are signs as well that make it easy. The loop road seems pretty worked out inside the loop. We worked outside the loop roads and came up with a good haul of rosettes and fire agates. No Cell Signal unless you climb one of the hills. We found agates all along the road from the first sign where you turn left. Very expansive quantity here! The further you get from the road the better you do! I will be back!

Amazing views. Not too mention all the awesome rocks me and my brother found. Good place to do a little rabbit hunting as well. (But so is any other place in AZ and New Mexico) If you go here you won't regret it!

Desert with great views, fire agates, lots of Boondocking options, but unbearably hot afternoons and intense sun from April to October.

My partner has been here before, first time for me. Fairly easy access and stones scattered about, bring a bucket or bags, think about what/where you want these in your yard or ? and enjoy a few hours gathering. Map out as you will likely lose Internet after leaving the highway.

Really enjoyed rockhounding in the area for fire agate!
