I had to go back 3 times to get my kids presents. While I am grateful for the presents, I spent more in gas money (125 miles total) going back and forth since they failed to communicate the delays until I was already there. My 3yo was gifted 12mo sized clothes (sizes were specified 4t) and infant toys. Its now 2 days before Christmas and I have to scramble to find gifts for my 3yo.
Was not impressed that they made us wait till they opened to inform us that one of the employees got COVID and that they weren’t giving out food boxes. They saw the parking lot full and it was snowing.
I was a bell ringer for one day. Not because I couldn't handle the weather, but because the guy in charge exposed everyone to covid and I had to miss 2 weeks of my regular job. There are some friendly people there, but 90% of the people I interacted with were rude.
Why i am rateing poorly is purely because of the staff operation is horrible waited 2 and a half hours for things that I couldn't use for my children.....
Very friendly and helpful in time of need helps you with food ,clothing and don't treat you bad for needing help I will go again ud83dudc9f thankyou staff at salvation army.
