Before anyone considers using this company, I would like to make everyone aware of all the insane charges And way of business being run. You will first have to sign a CONTRACT before even looking at the work needed to be done. He brought himself and another electrician to install a light fixture in our kitchen which took over 4 hours! They will charge you for BOTH of their rates. They will charge you for simply driving to the job site. They will up charge you 13% for using a credit card or 10% for a check. Then they will throw in charges for “other expenses”. The total cost was over $800 to install a single light fixture! Terrible way to run a business but at least the fixture looks good.
We called Scott to have work done on a remodel project. He was able to respond and do the work the same day we called. He had an apprentice with him and they finish the work in a couple of hours, very professionally and reasonably priced. I highly recommend his service.
We’ve hired Scott LaPointe for many easy and complicated jobs at our Evergreen Home since 2008. He has always been professional, capable and reasonably priced. On one occasion, Scott brought an apprentice to assist in installing our new electrical upgrades. Scott treated his apprentice with the utmost respect.
This electrician asked my husband lots of questions about the installation of a car charging station---as if he expected my husband to be the electrician. The work that was done by an apprentice and a journeyman turned out fine, but we had to pay them both an hourly rate. Also, the time billed included their travel time to our home AND a mileage charge, AND an overhead charge. Seems excessive to me.
Scott and his crew did the electrical work on my 1600 sq ft basement finish about 9 months ago. Everything went great and we're still loving the work he did for us.
