Did some ice fishing yesterday. Was told they just stocked it. $7.00 to get in. Was not busy at all. Hours for the park 8am-5pm.nHusband caught 2 trout and 1 sucker, however the guy near us was catching and releasing over a dozen fish, Trout and sucker fish. Some folks came stayed a coupleof hours and caught more then us . Overall nice park, however the bathrooms were not opened, these were locked.

Every time, I come, I see something new! This time I saw a young hawk and a beaver dam! Not to mention, a swimming snake!nnGorgeous lake with lots of picnic tables and open grills! Bathrooms, even disabled ones!nnFishing piers! Marsh areas with ducks and swallows! Wooden walkways over the marsh! A bridge overlooking the lake! Stunning red rock formations and well kept trails. Perfect place for a quiet walk or a family get-together!nnMake sure that you bring exact change! You put money into a envelope! $7.00 per car; $3.50 for motorcycle!

Just north of Woodland Park in the Pikes Peak National Forest you will find this picnic area. No swimming but canoeing and hiking around with many picnic tables all around. The views are spectacular and the setting is so serene. They also allow your dogs as long as the are on a leash. Truly are great place to spend an afternoon.

Manitou lake is beautiful one of the locals favorite places to go. The lake is beautiful the scenery is beautiful all around the mountains nice walking trails, nice to stand on the bridge that walks across the dam. Good place to take the kids nice day for fishing and picnic. It's one of those places where you hate to tell anybody cuz you don't want everybody told her crowd but it would be a shame that someone didn't get to see it. On a side note it used to be free to get in they charge $7 a car to get in now. But that being said well worth it!
