Coming here is always a pleasure. I love the diversity of trees and the ample sitting areas. This park is usually kept very clean as well which is a huge bonus over other Parks like Southside or Winn. Even on busy days this park never feels too crowded. It's an excellent spot to enjoy the beautiful day or have a picnic.
Beautiful park with walking paths and nice flowers and shrubs/trees. Many benches to sit down and people watch. Have public bathrooms as well but not sure if open. Pretty spacious to avoid people which is always good too
I thought this place was beautiful. It's nice and green. There are tons of different types of trees planted throughout the park which is nice. There's a nice area with beautiful flowers. The monuments that can be found here are pretty neat as well. I'm a fan of honoring those who have lost their lives fighting on our side, regardless of the politics around any particular way. The losses are real. Again though, it was nice to see people walking around, there was a lady pushing her kids around in a stroller. There was a couple kissing near a blossoming tree. It was like a scene from a movie. This is definitely a great spot to check out on a nice day.
The Capital is closed to the public but the park isn't. Enjoyed walking around with my family and some Gelato from Luciano's. The weather was perfect and the trees and flowers were amazing. Definitely plan on doing it again.
