wonderful campground. Deerfield lake is what makes this campground special. its just a 200yd walk from the lower loop of campsites, the water is crystal clear and beautiful. there are quite a few sites here that don't have a grassy flat spot for tents. we lucked out to get one that did (#17). It was clean and quiet. the Latrines are pit-style, but they were the cleanest of that variety i've ever seen. We had a wonderful time here
It's just out-of-the-way enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. it is also along the Deerfield reservoir so you can go down and do some fishing or some paddling.
Beautiful campgrounds with a lake nearby. Perfect for swimming, or kayaking. The staff was kind and accommodating. Location is convenient for hiking in the Black Hills. Prices were very affordable. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is passing through.
Camping, fishing, trailing, with quite and beautiful scenery. Whitetail camp grounds is a great place to get some relaxation and recreation.
