We were here last July and it is worth a visit. We stopped by today (March) and was disappointed that it was closed. It doesn’t state here that it is closed.

You may be disappointed in snowy season as the big long crack is filled with snow. People will have hard time finding it as the trench is filled up. Not sure one should explore going into the trench as it could be soft snow and people may sink into it.nDuring other seasons, it is a great site to visit.

Great for the all family. Some areas are very slippery so make sure to keep your little ones close at all times. It makes you realize how crazy, amazing Mother Earth can be. You can walk along the fault and cross where there is a path. Beautiful forest!

As of this posting, the road to the Earthquake fault is open. I would not try it without 4wd as the road is snowy and slick in places.

Beautiful and quiet place. Easy to find. The fissure was really cool to see. Three parking lot was very small but not full. There's a bathroom there. There difference around the crack was short and really nice. Definitely a must see on your way to Devils postpile.
