Awesome place to home,, fish, camp, and just be outdoors.
Look around you. Notice how the soil, flowers, shrubs and trees are a thin layer of live covering solid rock. Birds an animals thrive here now, but this was not always so. This alpine landscape reflects a time 20,000 years ago when glaciers flowed over this spot, crushing out existing plant life with miles of barrent ice.nAlthough this natural trail is a short 1/4 mile walk, it represents a long journey through time. You will discover how plants survived the Ice Age on ice-free refuges above and below the glaciers, and how they resettled the land after the ice was gone.
This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.
Very scenic short walk to stretch the legs
