90% of the time, really nice skaters around the park. Be prepaired for pan handling and other uncomfortable conversations courtesy of being on New York St. Otherwise the bowls fun, rails are good, but the pyramids were obviously poured by people who've never set foot on a skateboard.
Only gave it 2 stars because it is the better of any park in South Dakota. However it's terrible, the weather here hardly constitutes having an outdoor park either. Tony Hawk skate foundation would be more than willing to work with the city council to get an indoor 'not for profit' park going here in rapid. I know I've made contact with them recently. I however do not have an in with the folks in the council so not much I can do as far as pulling strings go. :/
Kind of sketchy neighborhood but a good park for beginners and amateurs. People there are very kind and encouraging. Went there with my scooter and the fork was on backward. Someone very kindly fixed it for me
Good park for flatground and has a wonderful standard mini half pipe. No water fountains though, and not much shade.
Decent for what it is probably use a few more small obstacles for people to practice on
