We went to the Purple Ape today for my wife’s birthday and had a blast on a jet ski. The staff was very professional to us. Even though we could only go in the bay and not ocean for the small window of time in the morning (due to tide and wind), they were very clear about what is appropriate and why. However, I do see how this could upset customers especially if it means they can’t ride for the day due to safety and probably the law. Remember that when reading any negative reviews...
Called around 2 pm to try to reserve Jet Skis, was told by the girl in the store there was no phone in the jet ski rental area and told me that we had to come in to pick a time. Drove 1 hour and 20 min to find out they were done for the day. The manager said he told his staff to tell everyone any calls after 10 they were booked for the remainder of the day which she failed to mention. Then the manger told me that their website states till 5pm for skis which it doesn't not. Definitely not top tier service or properly stated times or schedules and regular non management staff seemed not to alert as far as changes to incoming customers.
Had such an amazing experience over at Purple Ape! Tom and the staff were all super friendly and helpful! Will definitely be going back for another great time! Huge thank you to both Tom and the team!!
Fun beach shop. They sell pet hermit crabs. Great shop.
In town for work n decided to come to purple ape and it was a good decision. Had so much fun on the jet ski.
