Our waiter was the best I've ever had. And he is a pastry chef and my daughter is a baker and he was telling her that she does beautiful work (after showing him pics of her desserts) not only was he great but the food was phenomenal. The steak was so tender the mac and cheese was delicious. Would definitely go back for the great service, great food and gorgeous scenery.

First time visit. Had a great time and glad we picked for our anniversary dinner. Our server was hilarious and teased my husband about loving the salami bread. Felt safe with everyone wearing mask and gloves. We has roasted chicken and duck. Dinner portions were small but left room for dessert. Outdoor dining was not available due to rain.

It’s been a while since I have had a dinning experience that deserves this much kudos. Serdan was our server. He was informative, tentative and his menu suggestions were spot on. He was possibly the best waiter I have ever had. The food was amazing and the pasta cooked perfectly. We were a party of five and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Hygiene looks to be a top priority for Scarpetta and it’s staff. I will most certainly revisit whether it’s a romantic evening or a dinner with friends. We were also told the restaurant changes it menu / name for the off season but no doubt it is as spectacular. Bravo.

I didn’t make a reservation, however the manager was kind enough to seat us. The service was impeccable , even while crowded. The food was delish...I will speak for what I had, the chilled corn crab chowder, unreal! I also had the short rib/ bone marrow stuffed pasta , this is a MUST MUST try!! I could of easily inhaled another! Presentation was beautiful. This was truly a great meal. Kudos to them. Looking forward to a return trip to Newport.

Food was well prepared, but was drowned out by the poor service. In fact as the meal progressed the demeanor of the staff decreased to the point that following our meal we ordered another drink that our server verbally accosted us for having “already finished”. Following the outward disdain from our server, he stormed off to retrieve a hostess who came to inform our table our “time was up and 5 minutes to vacate our table”. Not sure what restaurant puts timers on paying customers who had a reservation. Actions by the staff demonstrated a severe lack of quality with regards to guest experience and no concern about any attempts at being a premier dining establishment. So Instead of a nice night catching up with friends, we overpaid to be pushed through dinner making any potential interest in returning to disappear. There are too many good things in Newport to waste your time and money on Scarpetta Newport.
