So the two stars goes for the coffee, coffee was delicious ... however the food isn’t the greatest. My son and daughter ordered pancakes with blueberries strawberries and bananas. They need to have better fresh fruit- I think it breaks or makes the plate. Instead we had the tiniest little blueberries in some type of glaze, strawberries in a glaze, and not enough bananas (like 3). If the point is to satisfy a “hungry monkey” - their portions are rather small. Pancakes were not fluffy, eggs needed salt and the bacon was not crispy. Eh- definitely not worth the hype here. However, staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was nice. Perhaps other items on the menu are better.

Wonderful place to great a tasty bite. The environment is super friendly and the owner is even more friendly.nHad some great food and great conversation and will definitely make it my go to spot for lunch when I'm in Newport.

I really enjoy the Hungry Monkey. It's got that fun frenetic energy that comes from a high-volume breakfast restaurant. The menu has a lot of variety and some really interesting stuff that you don't find everywhere. Their eggs are well-prepared and their sweet offerings are really imaginative, especially their specials! Don't skip over the lunch menu, though! They have some great things there, as well.nnDO get the grilled English muffin. You will not regret it.nnSome other favorites: Monkey burger, blueberry pancakes, egg sandwich, Portuguese omelette.

Phenomenal breakfast burrito. Good menu, been a few times. Knew what I was ordering right away. Great job!!
