Love our MetroParks!!!!! This section of Liberty Park is off the beaten path... but worth the trip. It is definitely not as popular as the other areas... but the Buttonbush trail is very nice. It is about 1.8 miles and most of it is wooded. So very nice on hot days. The Pond Brook area does not have a lot of amenities. No drinking fountain and a latrine.nYou can get glimpses of the restored pond brook. Half the trail is on a board walk as the area can get very muddy. The rest of the trail is on an old road.

Short 1.7 mile hike through wetlands (so it may be muddy for the brief time you are on the service road.) The hike is extremely flat with a boardwalk for the last third right thru the wetland. The first quarter of a mile you can still hear road sounds from oh-82 but after that it's a relaxing break in nature. We just got done with hike after a small dusting of snow hit last night. We had alot of fun following the numerous animal tracks and making up stories for all the little critters. There are just a ton of animals in the park. We hiked it in the spring before and remember alot of birds as well.

Great for a chance encounter with local wildlife. The trails are on level ground and perfect for an easy hike. Maybe lucky enough to spot a river otter or Barred Owl.

This is a 1.6 mile loop trail. It has four different types of sections, a wooded path, and a grassy path, a boardwalk and a dusty trail in a meadow.. Every section of this park is amazing.. This trail allows dogs, but I find that some people are not picking up after their dogs.. I wish they would, because the side of the trail is not good enough as that is where i walk looking for snakes and other animals... People jog this trail sometimes, but there are a lot of extremely tiny snakes and toads and frogs along the path... so i just walk slowly because there is so much more to see.. if you are looking.
