It is beautiful. Sadly it seems closed. They had fences locked up out front. Didnt seem like they were giving tours at all. Really wanted to see their weapons display. Too bad though maybe next time. I think the gargoyles are awesome too!
Fascinating place you'd never think to find where it is. Just wish it was a castle all the way around.
On one of our Ohio TuesDayTrips we looked for cool things in Sidney. We drove by Bonneyconnellan and were Wowed by the exterior. It is magnificent set atop a hill with a stately overlook of Sidney. However, when reading up on the history, we discovered the interior has been stripped. One can see that the house is basically a derelict looking at windows.nnThee castle is set in an historical district. There are many potentially grand homes on the street. However, no one seems to be performing any upkeep and is is more slum than nice. Such a shame. This area needs an HGTV crew to come do a makeover of the whole neighborhood.
