Beautiful waterfall, though a little off the beaten path

Great off camber hiking trails that take you back to the waterfalls, the Big Oyster rock ,the former Bear Cage area and along a former automobile drive road that was partly washed away in the devastating 1969 flood. Some hiking can be steep and slippery, but you'll love it,and the kids will love the rocky climbing trails ,be keep them close by because there are some steep drop offs, and ,yes unfortunately people have fell and have had to be rescued there before,so proper hiking footwear is really recommended. There is quite a bit of history here,as well as ancient Indian trails a former camping spots used by them as they passed through this area and used the Black River for canoe travel.

My family and I really love how things have changed there over the years. From the new playground and the water park they have for the kids to enjoy when it gets hot. And the new bridge they put in going across the river, the kids really love walking across it and seeing the river rushing below. Simply we just love it there!

Super awesome park. Walking trails and so much to see and do. Great for pictures and a full park for the kids. Seen a bunch of deer as I walked through the woods. They were pretty curious. Lots of relics in the woods as well. Never know what you will find.nLove the bridge... beautiful! I was amazed to find the park has 2 sides. That made it even more fun. I found am old token thing.

I drive more than a half an hour to get to this Jew el of a fun park. I love hiking and having all of the amenities for family style fun. It is so clean and updated so nicely by the city. In the summertime is the best because you can bring the kids to go on the playground equipment and have fun on the splash pad and then go for a nature hike into the beautiful woods and walk along the waters edge until you reach your final destination of the falls. I've seen people jump off of the cliffs but I don't think I could do it myself. The bathrooms are open to the public and there is ample seating in the covered picnic area big enough for parties. There's even a hill for sledding in the winter. I recommend this place to everyone. PS if you find the Easter eggs that we planted today good for you! I hope you enjoyed the little toys and the money.
