Very rude at front office! Was not a very warm welcoming.was told this wasn't the place for us due to have kiddos and two dogs.(take it as we paced a number of kiddos and dogs on our way in).Was told we look desperate for a place to park???(we had to move from a park because of two week maximum, and have a amazing standing with our previous park) We have Never been discriminated against like the way we were at check-in.It really did ruin our whole experience from the first 10 mins.We we're staired at everytime we took our kids on a walk.very disappointed in our stay so far ud83dude12

We rented a camping spot. My son took his camper and we spent the weekend. The shower house not far from camp . The have a dump station for campers to clean out before leaving . It was nice to watch people drive by on half carts and wave. We were able to fish and have a camp fire. We were able to hook up to water and electricity at camp site.

Called days ahead for reservation, arrived but did not know who was in which sites and took 20 minutes to find suitable location.nnBathroom/Shower house had rust and mold, looked unhealthy. Looks like it has has not been painted/repaired in 30 years.

My wife and I camped there for the first time in late 2019. We are new RV owners so haven’t experienced anything else in the area. However we love staying at Oakdale. Fortunately we were able to get a site on top of the hill so flooding doesn’t affect us at all. Nice sized lot and very quiet. If you look around at other campgrounds around the lake area the campsites are right on top of each other. We don’t have that problem. Management is awesome. Of course we follow the rules. You will see some bad comments on here. That’s the people that haven’t figured out how to read road signs. There are some older campers there. So far I haven’t seen anything terribly run down. Ours is fairly new. 3 years old. Overall Oakdale is a great place to relax. Everyone is very nice and I do like the fact we have access to the river but not affected by flooding. We will continue to keep a seasonal lot there for as long as we are able.
