We looked for a campground late, finding most full. We were directed to this campground at Horsethief Lake Campground, where you apparently check-in and pay. We don’t have horses but we’re given a horse site away from others as the camp was mostly empty. Sites had a picnic table, no water close by and pit toilets down the road. Pleasant and quiet.

Nice quiet campsite. They only have 3 tent sites available but they have really nice horse sites. The horse sites are complete with enough room for horse trailers and have pens that could hold 4 or 5 horses that get along together. A creek follows the 3 tent sites and the mosquitos are bad by site 1. It's the closest to the creek so you get a amazing flowing creek sound to put you to sleep just prepare for the skeeters! Don't forget to check in at horsethief campground!

Beautiful horseback riding at Willow Creek!! The trails are well-marked and it's just beautiful. Horse Corrals are really nice and easy to clean. Bathroom facilities are well taken care of, lawn looks great, and nice campsites. Will definitely be back next year for another week of great riding!

campsites accommodate horses, has pit toilets and water you hand pump from a well.

Although this is a horse camp, there are three regular camping sites as well. We tent camp, and we like to ‘rough it’. This campsite is one of our favorites we’ve ever stayed at. Large sites, not many people so very private, sites right on a creek, picnic tables and fire pit at each. Tons of wildlife wandering through as well. There’s not any amenities, an outhouse type bathroom but that’s about it. But it’s beautiful and worth the stay! Also we didn’t know but you have to pay at the campsite about three miles before this one, horse thief. It was $24 a night.
