The woman who I talked to was nice and extremely helpful in making sure we had a good spot for my 94 year old Dad to go to the restroom and showers. And speaking of restroom and showers they were great!! Clean and even pleasant on the eyes, unlike a lot of campgrounds. It was a last minute choice to stay in Hill City but one made so much better by the service we got here!

The cabin was in good condition. Coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave were in good condition. Bathroom was well supplied. We specifically looked for a place with wifi and called to confirm. It was only at the front office. When inquiring at the office, the lady said there shouldn't be a problem if we logged into #3, but it still didn't work. We also had to change the fitted sheet because my daughter spilled, and the mattress cover clearly hadn't been replaced in some time. Not an awful place to stay, but it won't be happening again.

The people were nice. I liked the convenience of the trail and being able to walk to town. I didn't like how they allowed over sized trailers in sites too small for them. Between that and people parked on the road, it got quite crowded. Also, the r.v. sites are RIGHT by the road so it can be loud. Their trees are super small, so there's no shade and head the warning about the water pressure being high. You should shut off your water if you leave the site for long, or you will probably return to a mess, as we did.

This was a great park. Red gravel drive and sites that were clean and level. Perfect grass throughout camp. Facility well cared for. Good cell coverage and good wifi. Creek on west edge of camp and Mickelson trail on east are real bonuses for staying here. Road was a little noisy but tolerable. 0.7 mile walk into downtown Hill City, cute town. Restaurants and shops, Pretty. 10 minutes to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

We stayed at The Crooked Creek Resort for 8 days in our 5th wheel. They were very nice people who run the place and very accommodating. I will give them 5 stars.
