The audio tour is excellent! Signage was good. However it closes at 3:00!!!! Fortunately, although we arrived at 3:00 the Park Ranger was just arriving to lock up so he let us take a quick look which was very nice. We took a few pictures then listened to the audio tour once we got on the road again. The audio tour has pictures and is broken into short 1-3 minute segments. It would be appropriate to listen to on the way to visit or during your visit. (Or even after your visit as we did.). With COVID-19 the Visitor Center was closed and there was no place to stamp your passport books-which was disappointing for the kids.
A true piece of American Cold War history. You get to look down into a Minuteman II ICBM missile silo, with a mockup of the missile in place. There is a phone guided tour available, but I was unable to connect to it. Still a great experience, and a good place to stretch your legs. Just be on the lookout for prairie rattlesnakes. We didn't see any, but there are warning signs posted around the facility.
Nice and free place to stop. They have an audio your and plenty of parking - with bathrooms!
Amazingly historical and interesting place. Do the cell phone tour, it's informative. You'll learn more about the silo and the surrounding area. I highly recommend visiting this site.
