Worth a quick or long stop. Pretty setting at Memorial Park for this display of a Canal Boat replica with horse on an actual extension of the Miami and Erie Canal.

There is NO WAY the pilgrims sailed all the way across the pacific to here!!! This boat is fake, just like CNN.

Doesn't take long to see the boat, canal, and locks, but it's a neat piece of history and the park surrounding it is beautiful and well maintained.

The unique canal boat replica was built with volunteer labor from original blueprints of canal boats built over 100 years ago. It is positioned on supports above the section of the open canal in Memorial Park. The boat is open to the public. I have walked on this boat which has pictures of canal boats from many years ago. It is a very interesting part of Ohio's canal history with a canal that extended from the Ohio river to Lake Erie. Until the roads and railroads were built, the canals were the only means of transporting goods long distances.
